Álvarez took to the pitch for Manchester City’s match against Chelsea with City having already won the league on Saturday. With second place Arsenal losing their match, the result mathematically guaranteed the title for Manchester City.
The Argentine scored the only goal of the match to give City the 1-0 win. Álvarez, along with his Manchester City team mates, lifted the trophy and celebrated on the pitch.
He has now scored nine Premier League goals, eight of those goals coming in his 12 starts. He also has three goals in three matches against Chelsea this season.
