Julián Álvarez has had a dream first season with Manchester City.
Álvarez has completed his first season with Manchester City and it has ended in a treble. Scoring and winning in the Champions League, the Premier League and the FA Cup, the Argentine has won every major trophy he has competed for this season.
He scored nine goals and had one assist in 31 matches in the Premier League but he only started 13 of those matches. In the Champions League, he had three goald and two assists in 10 matches, he had one goal in the one Community Shield match, three goals and two assists in five FA Cup matches and one goal in two EFL Cup matches.
This to also go with the World Cup he won with the Argentina national team.

River plate top of tye Argentina league went through last 16 of copa Libertadores, playing good football.Martin Demichelis so far so good at River plate
I think not so long ago they were struggling a bit in Libertadores but turned things around.
I wonder why Kranevitter and Mammana are not starting more, they are still young. Are Rojas, Diaz, Enzo Perez and Aliendro really better than them currently?
I think Kranevitter and Mammana are injured if I’m not mistaken I believe both will be starters if they were fit,Olive and Cox4 will know better then me though, btw Monumental looks intimidated since they removed the running track as well as it’s beautiful too.
Monumental is magnificent my friend. it is simply magnificent. i hope one day you visit it.
They have return from serious injuries but they are in very poor condition right now. Plus they will not considered as core players soon because the current core players going very well. As about Demichelis he is doing wonderful job and i think we find gold. He is perfect so far and i think soon he will make us forget Gallardo.
I haven’t seen too many players improve so much in one year. I still remember how raw he was against Brazil, in his debut. He was always a good goal scorer but playing under Pep took his vision, passing and decision making to next level and Argentina greatly benifited from it. He scored 17 goals for City with less than 15% of total mins. Bit unlucky to not play in the UCL final.
Next season will be very important for him. Haaland’s honeymoon is over and will be constantly man marked and if he struggles then Alvarez has every weapon in his armory to take his place. Unlike Alavrez, Haaland is just a poacher and without the ball he is not as useful , similar to Icardi! With couple of City starting midfielders leaving, he will get plenty of mins. However if he remains a squad rotation player then next season should be his last at City. There is a huge shortage of no9s and any top club will go for him as long as he maintains last seasons stats.
Less than 15%? He played more than 50 bro.
He played more than 50% of City’s total mins this season? What are you smoking?
2526 minutes is 15% in your book?
Those numbers are made up!
Yeah may be 50% in carbaro and fa cup early matches not in epl and ucl!
I agree @sulav787
This is his year to show premier league and the world how he’s matured. I hope he keeps developing and evolving. You made a good point on how Haalannd will be marked more, and how his strength is very much about poaching and cutting into the middle of the box while Alvarez can play three different positions on man city.
