Brentford submitted a €30 million formal offer for Nicolás González from Fiorentina, per reports from Fabrizio Romano.

According to Romano’s information, Brentford have the Argentine as their “priority target” in this transfer market. Now Fiorentina and the player have to decide.

The team interested in Nico González had a great last season and finished in 9th place in the Premier League. On the other hand, Fiorentina ended up in the 8th position in Serie A, just one place away from qualifying for an international cup, and were runners-up in the Conference League and in the Italian Cup. In every competition, Nico played a key role for the Italian team.

  1. love me some Nico, fast, pacey, hardworking player and skillful to boot but sadly he’s too injury prone and going to a physical league like the EPL may not be the best move, hope I’m wrong though.

  2. Nico play style suits EPL well. Brentford is a team that relies mostly on cou ter attacks and long balls and crosses from the wings. If Nico plays on the left wing he would be very useful for the team.

  3. He was out for 40% of the season due to injuries but still managed to score 14 goals and provide 5 assist for Fiorentina and help them reach the final of the conference league and he is just 25 years old. Nico is a pacy winger who is willing to track back and defend. Imagine if we had his services in the world cup, Acuna and him playing on the same wing both running back and forth, they would have caused pure havoc!! Enzo and MacAllister filled in quite well for Locelso but we didn’t have any replacement for Nico!
