Lionel Messi has returned to the Ballon d’Or nominees as four Argentine players have been nominated.
Messi is back in the list of names nominated for the Ballon d’Or after being left out last year. The record seven time winner is one of the favorites to win the trophy.
Argentina have four names in total with Lautaro Martínez, Julián Álvarez and Emiliano Martínez also being included. Here are the nominees for the 2023 Ballon d’Or award:

I can’t stand USA tv rights. I’ve signed up for 5 sports subscriptions including fubo, Fanatiz, paramount, etc and I still can’t get all games. I remember how everyone thought moving away from cable would last but now it’s almost worse. Spending hundreds a month just for sports + all the other shit subsc for movies and shows like Netflix, Disney, Amazon , etc.
And all these big ip owners throw public fits about pirate websites. I’m tempted to go back to to good ol’ days of pirated free shit quality streams
Out of all the years, how can Messi not win the Balon d’or? I’m not saying this as a Messi fan, but rather as a football fan. Haaland had an amazing year, I’m not taking anything away from him, but a 36 year-old Messi played an unbelievable World Cup. You can’t weigh the award on only 7 games, but Messi contributed in 62 goals across 53 matches, same as Haaland. The world Cup has to be considered. In the end it doesn’t matter , if he wins it’s “rigged”, if he loses I’m sure some will celebrate.
