Julián Álvarez with two goals, one free kick for Manchester City in Champions League

Julián Álvarez scored two goals, one of which was a free kick for Manchester City in their 3-1 win in the Champions League vs. Crvena zvezda.

Álvarez got his first free kick goal for Manchester City, as he continues to do well with Manchester City. With City trailing 1-0, he started the comeback as he passed it to Haaland and received the return pass inside the penalty area, skipped passed the goalkeeper and scored to draw City level.

The Argentine would also give City the 2-1 lead. Manchester City were awarded a free kick and it was the World Cup winner who curled it and scored.

He has four goals and four assists in six games, one in the Champions League and five in the Premier League.

  1. His free kick got a bit of an assist from the keeper but it was on target and curling beautifully so he deserves it.
    The first goal though, watch it in slomo and you will see how difficult it was to execute it..he just didn’t skip past the keeper but also resisted the natural urge to take the extra step with his right foot and squeezed the ball into the net in one step… he is a total 9..what a striker!
