Julián Álvarez spoke about his good start to the season with Manchester City.

Álvarez scored two goals for Manchester City in their 3-1 win vs. Crvena zvezda in the Champions League as he continues to be one of City’s best players this season. The Argentine has four goals and four assists this season. Speaking to ESPN Argentina after the match, here is what he had to say:

“My good start to the season? Yes, I feel very good. The coaching staff gave me their confidence, I’m playing a lot and I’m trying to approach this in the best way possible to help the club and my team mates. They are trusting me and I’m trying to return it to them.

“My new position behind Haaland? I had many opportunities in my career, I have played in many positions. I’m adapting well there and I feel very good.”

  1. Julián capitalizing on injuries to Man City players and establishing himself as one of their best players. He’s the type of player that makes everyone on the team better even if not as individually impressive as someone like Dybala or Tévez.

Joao Felix playing great after leaving Chelsea. Hopefully Enzo is able to exit that cancerous club.

  2. He has made sure nobody is missing Kevin Debrune! Haaland who is a one trick pony is so much dependent on his team-mates and Alvarez is the opposite, he can play both as a 9 and 10 and may be thats why wears no19!
