Spanish born right back Pablo Maffeo to be called up for Argentina

Spanish born right back Pablo Maffeo will be called up to the Argentina national team.

The 26 year old is born in Barcelona but his mother is born in Argentina. According to Marcos Durán and Nacho Sanchis, Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has already spoken to the player and if all of the necessary documents can be completed on time, Maffeo will be with the Argentina team for the November World Cup qualifying matches.

Maffeo started his club career with Espanyol B and signed to Manchester City where he spent most of his time away on loan. The majority of his career was with Girona and he is presently playing with Mallorca.

He has represented Spain at youth level but never with the senior national team.

  1. I watched this guy for 2 minutes and I am already convinced that he is better than Montiel. BTW everyone is better than Montiel….

  2. Better than Montiel 😂😂😂.
Then you recommend Gaich, Garre, Infantino and Maffeo. Afterwards you Prefer average players like Esquivel)F Carboni who rarely gets playing time over the most wanted modern left back Valentin barco, and by the way he can’t be dybala backup; Dybala plays as a 10 or Second Striker. The Joke has gone to far 🤣🤣🤣😂😂.Thank God we have Scaloni as the coach 😂😂😂.

  3. Not sure how good he is as the clubs he has been representing are not the best. However, we have seen in the past playing for the best club and playing best for the national team are not correlated. Has the coach given up hope on Juan Foyth? I am more excited about the news of inclusion of Soule.

  4. good news ,I am waiting for a long time for maffeo . He is better than montiel .IMO we need to bring in new blood .
