Lucas Beltrán scored for Fiorentina in their 1-1 draw vs. Empoli on matchday 25 of Serie A.
The Argentine striker played behind the center forward Andrea Belotti and had a solid game. In the 29th minute, Beltrán received the ball in the right side of the box, turned, and struck it low across to the goalkeeper’s right post to convert and give Fiorentina the 1-0 lead. He reached his 6th goal in Serie A this season.
Lucas Martínez Quarta and Nicolás González also played the whole match for Fiorentina.

Csabalala, are you watching? Lucas Beltran is settling down he has scored 6 seria A goals in last 11 matches
Check his stats, expected modell will show us his end product in the long run, now he just scores everything, overperforming, BUT his xG/90 in the Serie A is 0,23/90 which means less than 1 goal per 4 matches, not good at all. 1,5 shots per 90 is very few from a striker too, unable to find himself in shooting situations. Maybe Beltran will be better in SS, but not a good CF.
but his link up play is not bad
Under european career in top5 leagues (non penalty xG/90 and shots/90):
Lautaro 0,59 and 4,20 shots
Julian (rather SS/AM/8) 0,40 and 3,05
Icardi 0,53, 2,96
Alario 0,50, 3,32 (in a more attacking league and team)
Castellanos 0,43, 2,95
Simeone 0,40, 2,68
Beltran 0,18, 1,50
The most important thing for a CF to generate shots and xG then the goals will come but Beltran doesnt do this and none is able to overperform his xG significantly, the best finishers like Messi, Haaland, Kane, Szon can do with +10-15% more than expected in the long run.
The new signing Belotti who is a bang average CF 0,37 nonpen xG/90 and 3,06 shots/90, maybe Beltran will find his place behind him as second striker but with Bonaventura (was injured) its questionable too.
Have seen them play ? Or you info is based on data ? Because he is not playing as Striker. Just look at his heatmap
No, he played 80% CF, 20% SS/AM, mostly nowadays behind Nzola/Belotti.
