Nicolás Tagliafico scores for Olympique Lyon in 2-0 win vs. Lorient

Nicolás Tagliafico scored for Olympique Lyon in their 2-0 win vs. Lorient on matchday 25 of the Ligue 1.

In the 52nd minute, the Argentine left-back received a cross from the right side of the pitch and headed the ball powerfully to the back of the net. It was a great anticipation by Tagliafico near the penalty spot to make it 1-0 for his team.

The 31-year-old received a Sofascore rating of 8.2 and, according to @futbolscan, he had the most defensive actions (9), accurate long passes (5), passes in the final third (11) and aerial duels won (2/2) in the game.

    • I fail to understand why Spurs refused to loan him to Barcelona or any of his preferred Spanish club. Spurs should have simply honored the player’s wish.

    • If I am not mistaken Lo-celso is in his last year of contract with Spurs and the new coach decided to keep him as a backup/bench player. However he has been out for most of the matches even after his surgery. He did play well when he was available but couldn’t last more than 3-4 matches. Him, Dybala, Palacios and Nico are very unreliable players due to their fitness and can’t be part of core group of players.
