Lucas Beltrán scores and qualifies Fiorentina to the final of the Conference League

Lucas Beltrán scored a penalty for Fiorentina in their 1-1 draw vs. Brugge, qualifying them to the Conference League’s final. The Italian team led 4-3 on aggregate.

The Argentines Lucas Martínez Quarta, Lucas Beltrán and Nicolás González started the second leg for Fiorentina. Beltrán played in an unusual position for him as a center-right midfielder until he was replaced in the 89th minute.

With Brugge winning 1-0, “La Viola” were awarded a penalty in the 84th minute. Beltrán took it and kicked the ball powerfully across goal. Even though the goalkeeper dived to that side, he could not stop the former River Plate man’s strike. The ball went to the back of the net, making it 1-1 in the match.

Fiorentina will play the final of the Conference League for the second year in a row. In 2023, they lost it 2-1 vs. West Ham in the 90th minute.

“La Viola” will face in Athens the winner between Olympiacos and Aston Villa.

      What a player. ✨

  1. Talking of Bayern Munich vs real Madrid,I won’t blame the referee. I blame it on Tuchel’s arrogance of taking out Kane and Musiala. Those substitutions turned the tide in real Madrid’s favor.

  2. Laporta used Messi’s support to get elected and then back stabbed him and forced him out. Barca’s financial situation will not get any better next season and are stuck with washed Lewandowski whose wages are going even higher in his third and final season.

While Barca is trying their best to find the next Messi, first in Ansu Fati and now Yamal, who is nothing special. Madrid under Florentino Perez is getter better both in building super squad and financially strong club and they are on track to rule over Laliga for next 5 years.

  3. You will never see a team with ridiculously better luck……it’s unnatural alien-like nonsense LUCK IS WHAT RM luck is😬🤯😒🥴🤔😵

    • Refree blowing the whistle a split second after the shot was taken while the ball hadn’t even reached the box as his linesman raisied the offside flag is not just dumb Luck. Especially for an experienced refree who had officiated in high profile matches making such error is very very suspicious!

      • not just that. The Neuer mistake was incredibly lucky. IDK Why TF it needed to happen. minutes before BM ruined a very easy counter attacking chance.

    • RM and Bayern have both benefitted greatly from luck and suspicious referring for many years.
