Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni speaks on players being left out, Canada at the Copa America

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni spoke about the players who would be left out of the team for the Copa America and the opener against Canada.

Lionel Scaloni spoke at a press conference on Thursday where he stated that Lionel Messi will start vs. Guatemala on Friday. He also praised Alejandro Garnacho and spoke about Germán Pezzella and Guido Rodríguez being in the team.

Scaloni also commented on the players who would be left out of the team for the Copa America in the United States. Here is what he had to say:

“The players who are left off the list surely also deserve to be on it. That’s painful, but we have to make a decision.”

About the opening match at the Copa America against Canada:

“We will think about Canada more deeply after Saturday. We know they will be a difficult opponent. The opponent that comes is going to make things difficult for us. We must always face them with the utmost seriousness.”
