Lisandro Martínez will start for Argentina vs. Canada at the Copa America.

Martínez will be in the starting eleven for Argentina vs. Canada on Thursday. According to Gastón Edul, the 26 year old will replace Nicolás Otamendi in the starting eleven and will play alongside Cristian Romero in the back line.

The Argentine started both of Argentina’s matches last week. The first in a 1-0 win vs. Ecuador and the second a 4-1 win vs. Guatemala.

  1. Breakout candidate: Valentin Carboni. The 19-year-old seems most likely to emerge as the Di Maria replacement. Alejandro Garnacho has more pace, but the lanky left-footed Carboni has enchanted the coaching staff with his elegant quality, sufficiently versatile to cover a number of attacking positions. Born in Buenos Aires, but used to play for Italy at under-17 level.

    • How do u think that ARG will line up against Canada as in which tactical formation they at least start of with and who will be ARG’s starting eleven…?

DIBU for sure and I quess the defense will be :

Molina-CUTI-LICHA-Tagli as if so I’m super happy with LICHA starting, but Ota will be ok also, but I think Scaloni might want more speed against Canada and therefore I would also take LICHA instead of OTA against Canada who I believe will try to play it with as fast attacking & maybe very in direct way…perhaps…?

Midfield seems to be RDP, Paredes & Macca…or will Scaloni go with 4 midfielders..?

And obviously the last question is how ARG will form up front as who will join LEO and hopefully ADM too..?

This Canada’s coach as I believe who is Jesse Marsch former Leeds coach/ manager….where he also an assistant under Bielsa or did he came after when Bielsa had allready left from Leeds ?
