Nicolás Otamendi in the starting eleven for Argentina vs. Bolivia in World Cup qualifier

Nicolás Otamend will be in the starting elveen for Argentina against Bolivia in Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier.

Otamendi started and scored for Argentina against Venezuela in their 1-1 draw on Thursday and will once more be in the starting eleven. According to Gastón Edul, the 36 year old will start for Argentina against Bolivia.

Cristian Romero was suspended for the 1-1 draw against Venezuela and Otamendi started alongside Germán Pezzella. With Cristian Romero back from suspension, it is set to be Romero and Otamendi as the two center back pairing.

  1. I totally agree with Scaloni. Ota is currently at the top of his form despite his age. He can sometimes be criticized for his slowness but he is better equipped by his size and his presence in front of the opposing goals and in better shape than Licha, who is not at his best with MU.

  2. So another aerial mistake in the making? Another header goal to consume? Why not Licha? If Ota is being considered for his scoring ability, why not him in place of Lautaro. 😄 Scaloni seems to be losing his plot and forms of his trusted players not helping him stop the slide downhill.
