Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni will be without five players for their match against Peru in Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier.
Lionel Scaloni will not have Nicolás González, Germán Pezzella, Lisandro Martínez, Nahuel Molina and Cristian Romero against Peru. Nahuel Molina and Cristian Romero played in the 2-1 loss against Paraguay but were substituted out due to an injury.

Emiliano Martínez – Aston Villa
Gerónimo Rulli – Olympique Marseille
Walter Benítez – PSV Eindhoven

Once the team qualifies for the World Cup, then we will see changes, and trying new plyers.
IMO ,I would like to see scaloni change the lineup in near future .For me ,we can try the following line up which is more aggressive
#######Dibu Martinez
Simeone #Romero#Perez#NGonzalez
#########Cristian Medina
#####V Carboni#####Nico Paz
Soule###############E Zeballos
########Castellanos
Trolling for sure! Unbelievable, makes zero sense! This is not a serious lineup, a comedy, zero balance!
My team, similar to your brainfart:
Emi
Pablo Solari Balerdi Lisandro Zenon
Santiago Simon
Buonanotte Mastantuono
Benjamin Dominguez Almada
Santiago Castro
The exact same team in player profiles, talent level and formation just with different names, hard to decide which one is more absurd.
Nah, that is not progressive and out of the box enough! Against Peru Scaloni should select:
Brey
Giay, Anselmino, Pellegrino, Ortega
Hezze, Fausto Vera
Gauto, Echeverri, Luka Romero
Silvetti
Gauto is good player versatile as wf or fb
Other than in the defence, we have our key players up the pitch. Paredes and Enzo in bit of a defensive role and De Paul + MacAllister in a more attacking role should help our cause. Test for Scaloni at a time when we are on a spree losing points.
This old article I wanted to challenge our friend csabalala who is claiming senesi is slowler than otamendi which is not true 100% lie

Jerome
Feyenoord signed Marcos Senesi in the winter of 2019 for €7.000.000 from San Lorenzo, making him the most expensive signing in Feyenoord’s history. After struggling to adapt himself to European football in the first few months, he has now established himself as one of the best defenders in the Eredivisie and he is, together with Nehuén Pérez, Lisandro Martínez, Cristian Romero and Lucas Martinez Quarta the future of Argentina in central defence.
Playing style
The Argentine defender is a very positive defender. He likes to step up and he can often be found on the opposition half. Senesi combines this with tactical intelligence and even though he occasionally gets caught out of position, he is a smart defender. The central defender generally makes the right decisions in stepping up and this is something he has improved on a lot this season. Last season, he made some mistakes against the likes of PSV and Porto.
Something that is important to mention is that he plays next to Uros Spajic or Eric Botteghin. Both are not quick and are not at the required level of Feyenoord. Senesi’s mistakes in stepping up can not be recovered by Spajic or Botteghin. Something Senesi has improved on lately is his strength in the duels, which was shown against Sebastien Haller, where he won most duels against the strong Frenchman.
Marcos Senesi is really dominant in the 1v1 duels and suits a high defensive line perfectly. He is relatively quick, but Senesi struggles more often when playing in a deeper defensive block, where he needs to turn more often and operate in the tighter spaces. For example, against Ajax, he got dribbled past by Ryan Gravenberch in the tight spaces which led to the opening goal for Ajax.
The 23-year-old is very confident on the ball. He sporadically takes too many risks in the build-up play, but he generally is very good in the build-up play. He can find his teammates well between the lines and is really comfortable in dribbling it out from the back.
Future steps
Concluding, I would like to see Marcos Senesi move to the top 5 leagues this summer at a club where he can play in a high defensive line, next to an athletic defender who’s quick. It is a defender with a lot of potential and I have high hopes for him in the future.
👍🏻🇦🇷Senesi🇦🇷👍🏻
Scaloni resist to any change
Possible Scaloni line up…
Martinez
Montiel,Otamendi,Balerdi,Tagliafico
Dipaul, parades,mcalister,enzo
Messi,martinez🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What makes this team strong is that they have been playing together for over 4 years together. It is a team that has a very strong backbone with Dibu, Romero, Ota, De Paul, Messi. We must not change because they just lost. No. They were going to lose at one point or another anyway. Scaloni just needs to know how to correct. But the new ones are not better than the old ones.
I understand changing lineups and formations every match like Diego Maradona’s and Sampaoli’s tenure is nothing but madness but Scaloni needs to accept the fact that Otamendi, Acuna, Tagliafico, Pezella barring any miracle will be finished by 2026 WC. He has to inject young blood even if that means defeat. We have great talents waiting for more responsibility but if we only pursue with Depaul, MacAllister, Enzo then he will endure a huge disappointment in the upcoming world cup. I am not implying these players must be out but we can’t let lack of motivation after winning a world cup affect the whole team. Scaloni has to try new formations with new players and I mean start them and give them ample chances like he did with Nico Gonzalez, Montiel, Molina and all!
Yes it is about time and WC 26 and currently 🇦🇷 is wasting it by not willing change as 🇦🇷 coaching should had done it allready straight after COPA the latest, but still carrying on with more or less the same, which is madness and will cost 🇦🇷 in WC 26 as some players will not be able to perform as they once did, because in fact it has been more than clear since WC the very least as with Ota’s error/ errors with 🇦🇷 nearly l costed the WC final, but DIBU saved it in the end for 🇦🇷 and Pezzella’s error’s in the past COPA 21 and WC 22 are even more of common knowledge to every supporter of 🇦🇷 and again it was for DIBU to save it in the end and i don’t mean any dissrespect at all as both have served 🇦🇷 well and more, than long enough and i’n greatfull for that, but for some very odd reason they are not retiring from 🇦🇷 NT nor neither Scaloni and Co. are willing to let go of them, which is even more weard..? Also it is true what SulaV said, that 🇦🇷 have to try also other players in different positions as forexample in the middle even 🇦🇷 might loose or win, still if only allways using more or less same starting 11 and only change due to injury, well it will not help those sitting on the bench to develop more with 🇦🇷 NT and also it will not help 🇦🇷 NT to prepare for WC 26 or for future etc. Still don’t know the reason why 🇦🇷 coaching not willing to give more playing time for players and young players currently with or without 🇦🇷 nt, because they play good minute’s allready in their club’s and what is the point Of using some who hardly play at all with their clubs or are way past their prime or at the moment maybe in not so good form etc…
