Argentina U20 win 2-1 vs. Chile

Argentina’s U20 national team kicked off the final round of the South American Championship with a crucial 2-1 victory over Chile at the Estadio Olímpico de la Universidad Central de Venezuela.

The young Albiceleste squad showed their attacking power early on, with two key goals coming from River Plate’s rising stars. Ian Subiabre opened the scoring, giving Argentina the lead, before Agustín Ruberto doubled the advantage, both goals coming in the first half.

Chile responded in the second half with a goal from Francisco Rossel, adding tension to the game, but Diego Placente’s team held on to secure the three points. This victory places the Albiceleste in a strong position in the hexagonal final as they aim for qualification to the U20 World Cup.

  1. The page is fine for me just too many adverts. What is not fine for me is Addidas deciding bring back the way kit black again. World Cup and Continental championships are about national teams. So even away kits should reflect national flags’ colors. Those fucking LBGTQ designers need to understand that and be called to order and honor certain traditions. When I grew up watching football, I didn’t see teams wearing funny brown, purple and pink kits like nowadays. Nowadays teams are given some funny second kit designs by some queer designers who don’t even watch, let alone love the sport. Why do design a black away shirt for Argentina again? Why is AFA not asking Argentine players and officials before accepting this stupidity? 2018 was sad memory. WTF does Addidas want to bring it back? Some German bad luck? I hope AFA and the Argentine public refuses that shirt color too.

    • Yes, the old Mundo page layout was simple and more user-friendly. To be fair, many Mundo old users disappeared after the WC trophy, maybe they lost passion for the team and football in general. Sometimes I think that there is a big correlation between struggles and loyalty. When Argentina was in bad times we supported the team more than any other time. Look to Arsenal fans now, they are the most loyal EPL fans while their team never won a meaningful trophy for more the two decades.

Maybe I wasn’t as active as I used to be in the past and failed to see your participations in the forum. Truth be told, before and during the 2022 WC my daily average visit to the site was 10 times a day, but nowadays it’s like once or twice a week. Some old Mundo members like Mamoun, Csabalala, and EnganChe are still active making the forum alive. I appreciate them a lot for that. Wish everyone good luck.
