Nehuén Pérez scores first goal for FC Porto in 2-2 draw vs. Rio Ave

Nehuén Pérez found the net in FC Porto’s 2-2 away draw against Rio Ave on Matchday 20 of the Primeira Liga, marking his first goal for the club.

With Rio Ave leading 1-0 in the 51st minute, the 24-year-old Argentine defender found himself in the right place as the ball floated inside the six-yard box. Pérez reacted quickly, striking a right-footed volley into the back of the net to level the score at 1-1.

Argentine midfielder Alan Varela, former Boca Juniors player, started and played the full 90 minutes for FC Porto.

Additionally, Argentine coach Martín Anselmi, who arrived from Cruz Azul in Mexico, made his Portuguese league debut as FC Porto’s manager.
