Álvarez made it 21 goals with Atletico Madrid, reaching 10 goals in the league after being substituted into the match. The 25 year old had the only goal of the game, a pass in by Llorente found Álvarez who scored from inside the area to give Atletico the 1-0 lead.
The Argentine made it three goals in his last two league matches. Nahuel Molina, Rodrigo De Paul and Giuliano Simeone started for Atletico with Julián Álvarez and Ángel Correa being brought on as substituted.

Any update when team will be announced? Also are we going to see any face ? This team I don’t find any new player performing well for there club in Europe. Maybe almada and A.correa comes back, simeone jr, needs to be in team
Dominguez and Castro have been brilliant for Bolgna. Those two definitely should be called up. Dybala has been in great form and fitness, and should be called back.
Garnacho, Montiel, Acuna & Pezzella should no longer be considered for selection. Manchester United is heavily dependent on Garnacho but his horrible finishing and poor IQ is reflective of United’s 15th place in the league! Montiel has failed to live up to European standards, Acuna is nearing retirement & slow Pezzella is a walking liability on the field! Additionally, Dybala, Licha, Locelso and to some extent Romero, all of them are battling with their never ending injury issues. If Scaloni doesn’t integrate young players then we are looking at another 2018 catastrophe where our team was plagued with aging and unfit players.
I think almada or Paz will eventually replace the Lo celso, untill he comes back.big issue still back 4… Let see what scaloni selects maybe Balerdi, Perez/maffeo as RB, maybe medina, or Julio soler for LB. I really don’t know what scaloni will do…
Nothing official yet but various sources are speculating that Nico Paz and Giuliano Simeone will almost certainly get called up. Valentin Barco and even Soler have a very good chance too. Perez and Balerdi as well.
Might see some faces from the Argentine league: Montiel because he’s playing well at River and because we don’t have depth in that position, Lomonaco from Independiente, a tall, 23 year old CB and Valentin Gomez of Velez, another CB.
I think Foyth has a chance too because he’s been playing well as a CB now, but his versatility might help in case we need cover at RB.
Castro and Dominguez of Bologna have a decent chance of getting a call, especially Castro. I think Dybala too…
Meanwhile, Ascacibar has been in the form of his lifetime at Estudiantes. He has turned into a real box-to-box menace and probably the best DM in the local league. However, we have incredible depth in that position now. Speaking of DMs, Enzo Barrenechea has been playing well at Valencia on loan from Aston Villa. He’s a tall, physical DM, should be on the radar for sure…
