Lionel Messi will play his farewell match with the Argentina national team in October.
Messi is set to play his last match with of the Argentina national team for the match against Benin. Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has included Lionel Messi in the team for the friendly matches and AFA president Claudio Tapia has stated that Messi will play his last match on October 6 against Benin in Argentina.
ONCE AGAIN, MESSI A CHAMPION, Capo dei capi 🇦🇷💙✊️ and another trophy…….SUCK IT CRYNALDO 🖕
Messi, we LOVE YOU and always will, thank you for you extraordinary service and dedication to the Albiceleste, we called on you and you responded with trophies and broken records, THANK YOU#10🇦🇷💙✊️.
I AM so excited to see the younger generation carry on the torch and looking forward to the future, all the lies hate and misinformation and they forge ahead.
As ALWAYS, LET’S GO ARGENTINA, LET’S GO.
Seriously? Could not find better teams to play against for farewell of the greatest footballer in history? Shame on you AFA. Heartbreaking in more ways than one.
Out of all the nations they could have chosen, the AFA picked a national team that most of us had never even heard of as the opponent for a legendary player’s final match.
Kudos to them for that.
Benin almost made it to the WC. They are decent enough for rebuild period
Boca reached Sudamericana semifinal. I would not be surprised if young CB Facundo Herrera makes Scaloni’s list tomorrow.
This is a decent list, but a few surprises, Roman Vega is one. Foyth is not fully fit. Perrone is the strangest one, he is one of the best registas in Serie A.
Where is matteo pellegrino?? He should have been there over castro……pellegrino also has the ability to play for Spain. He should be included
I like Pellegrino and I think at some point soon he should be called up, the only problem for him is that Flaco Lopez and Panichelli (who I hope will come back strong after his injury), are probably better overall players than Pellegrino, they are just as tall as him, but more rounded, especially Lopez.
Pellegrino scored 3 times so far… Hopefully he will be called next time and perrone deserves as well. Why de paul and lo celso? Rulli should be dropped for Santiago beltran as well. Happy to see no Almada. Pls scaloini for fuck sack remove de paul. Lo celso is no longer in his prime.
It’s hard to believe that this is really happening. I’m trying to let it sink in, but in a few weeks we are going to watch Messi play his last game for Argentina. This man has given us everything. What an amazing guy! I hope he can inspire the team to keep winning for him. I would love to hear all the players say that they are going to try to win the next Copa America for Messi.
