  1. Very well played. Like I was saying. The pragmatic way, being humble, working hard as a team has worked for Scaloni and the team. We controlled the game very well. Other than the first 10 mins, I was cool. It took me some time to get to what the plan is and how well it is executed. Well done.

  2. I might get a lot of hate for saying this but I will say anyway: Argentina plays great football under Scaloni. They have already won 4 trophies (so its not essential that they play great) and in this relatively less important game against a side like Uruguay they are still making some great plays.

Everything Scaloni touches turns into gold! Actually the goal happened as I was writing this comment.

    • I might have got hate for it cuz honestly after winning the world cup, except for a few occasions, they did not look anywhere near their prime which was around 2021-2022. Today they were playing well, but I dont think great, until the goal happened. Thing is displaying this level performance after winning so many trophies including the world cup in a less important match against Uruguay still shows how great this team is. There are some idiots in this forum who could go like: “No! They are not! Uruguay are still creating a lot of chances and we dont like it! Get out of this forum!”. Thats why I said I might get some hate.

  3. We are playing Bielsa’s Uruguay away on their turf with hostile crowd, for me personally the game is going as I anticipated, cagey. Don’t expect us to control the ball and possession, we might score a goal, but it won’t be a dominant performance. This is the oldest football classico…

    • @Mario kempes..

      You are out of control..
Your eyes are not blind, but your heart..

Argentina played better in the 3rd quarter…
Actually we are well dominant in the opponent half..
Eventhogh Midfielders are just shaky today..
      Our Frontline is supporting them..

Especially our backline is very solid..

This team got hunger and energy ..
This NT players work hard for scaloni., he got that magic to make players as workhorse .

Even dybala would press back, to win the ball.. if his fragile body is available for today’s match

  4. That was a bad half. But luckily Uruguay could not make the possession count. But we need Alvarez upfront & not behind the lines. I felt Almada was relatively sharp. But Enzo & Alexis were jaded & that is the area to fix. With a dead midfield, Simeone jr still had 2 good crosses which is encouraging. But Molina was not seen in most plays.
I am still expecting Bielsa engine to run out of fuel in 2nd half. But how we improve the offensive midfield is going to decide if we will score today.

    • One of those away wins that will be cherished for long. Fantastic comeback by team in 2nd half. Almada just informed us that we wont miss Dybala. Almost all players stepped up in 2nd half and as expected Bielsa engine ran out of fuel. Ota & Tagli defended very well & so did Parades.
Except Nico G’s stupid moment, everything was perfect in 2nd half. But a big resource loss for Brazil game. I wanted to see Foyth as a sub for Molina & maybe Paz getting a small cameo.
Brazil wing of Raphina & Vinicius vs Molina + Simeone can determine the classico fate. The only tweak i would want to see in Brazil game is how can Alvarez play more upfront.

  5. Given how we lost of Uruguay at home, this is a stalemate so far. May be that is the idea of Scaloni. Take a point. He has always been pragmatic and that has worked for us. Yes the game is dominated by Uruguay but they don’t look dangerous like last time.
