Ángel Di María top scorer at Club World Cup, all Argentine goal scorers

Ángel Di María leads the Club World Cup with three goals and 13 Argentine players have scored at the tournament.

Di María along with Jamal Musiala, Michael Olise and Kenan Yıldız each have three goals at the Club World Cup. Di María had one goal in Benfica’s opening match against Boca Juniors and two goals against Auckland City.

Lautaro Martínez is the second Argentine with the most goals, having scored in each of Inter’s matches. The first in a 1-1 draw against Monterrey and the second in a 2-1 win against Urawa Red Diamonds.

Ten Argentine players each scored one goal. Enzo Fernández, Rodrigo Battaglia, Nicolás Otamedi, Facundo Colidio, Sebastián Driussi and Maxi Meza each had one goal in the first round of matches.

Lionel Messi scored a free kick for Inter Miami, José Manuel López had a goal for Palmeiras, Valentín Carboni for Inter and Juan Pablo Freytes for Fluminense in their last matches. Claudio Echeverri is the latest Argentine to score when he scored a free kick goal for Manchester City in their 6-0 win against Al Ain.
