The last set of fixtures of the group stages at the Club World Cup begins on Monday with Lionel Messi, Inter Miami and Atletico Madrid all aiming for qualification.
Lionel Messi and Inter Miami are in second place in Group A and they will play first place team Palmeiras. A draw would qualify both teams but a win for Inter Miami would take them top of the group.
Messi scored a free kick for Inter Miami in their 2-1 win against FC Porto. There are nine Argentine players with Inter Miami.
In the same group, Alan Varela, Nehuén Pérez and Tomás Pérez with FC Porto play Al Ahly. Both teams are on one point each.
Atletico Madrid have six Argentine players and they play first place team Botafogo. Atletico Madrid are tied on three points with Paris Saint-Germain but the reigning Champions League winners won 4-0 against Diego Simeone’s team and also have a five goal difference in their favor.
Pedro de la Vega and Seattle Sounders play Paris Saint-Germain in their last match.
