Lionel Messi did not play with the Argentina national team in their 1-0 win against Venezuela. Messi was rested and played on Saturday with Inter Miami, scoring two goals against Atlanta United.
The Argentina national team will play Puerto Rico on Tuesday in Miami. Scaloni spoke at a press conference on Monday about if Lionel Messi was going to play. Here is what he had to say:
“I saw him play on Saturday, but I haven’t spoken to him yet. Now we have our last training session and as we always do, I’ll talk to him and if he’s fit, he’ll play tomorrow.”
