  1. Enzo’s strength that drew Madrid’s attention are sublime positioning and progressive passing. Yes he does get a goal or two every now and then but his involvement in the buildup is why Chelsea are in second position! He often gets compared to Caicedo who is also doing amazing but its like comparing Apples to oranges! The midfield duo of MacAllister & Enzo and the forwards they provide service is Argentina’s strength! Yes, defense certainly needs some reinforcements but Scaloni’s 2022 team was very young and those players would have reached their peak in 2026!

      • Thats part of playing attacking game! Messi loses way more possession than Enzo does however I do agree he needs to improve in accuracy near the goal and finishing! But the amount of times he gets isolated and ignored in the final third also needs to be taken into account.

        • Really comparing Enzo to Messi, Messi creates 5X more goals and assists than Enzo, his strength was never attacking game.

        • Well no one really compares to Messi in anything but in Enzo’s defense he has the most goal contributions for Chelsea throughout the year: I think 21 or 22 G/A, which is the highest for the team and the 2nd highest when you consider the G/A per game ratio, which is second only to Jao Pedro.
Still, there are aspects of his game that need to be worked on, namely finishing (when he’s playing AM) and defensive positioning (when playind DM).
