Joaquín Panichelli scores twice for Strasbourg in 3-2 win vs. Nantes

Joaquín Panichelli scored twice for Strasbourg in their 3-2 win against Nantes.

Panichelli made it 20 goals with Strasbourg, scoring twice in their win. With Nantes leading 1-0, the ball fell to Panichelli inside the penalty area and he would score from close range to draw Strasbourg level.

With the score at 2-2, Strasbourg were awarded a free kick in injury time. The initial effort on goal was saved but the Argentine would get to the rebound and score to give Strasbourg the 3-2 lead.

  1. Gaston edul confirmed Martinez Quarta has been selected to replace injured Balerdi. Reading Argentines fans, they are not happy with some of scaloni’s decision. I myself also agree neither Balerdi, Acuna nor Martinez Quarta deserve world cup spot. Unfortunately/ Fortunately final decision remains with Scaloni. I hope he will make right and bold decision when time comes.

  2. 18yo Tomas Aranda from Boca is the real deal. Haven’t seen a skilful youth attacking midfielder like him for quite some time. He’s already making boca play much better and today he was deservedly awarded the MOM.

  3. Panichelli is on fire this season, I am glad he was called up, although it appears that Scaloni favours Flaco Lopez for the 3rd striker role.
