Argentina have been drawn in Group J at the 2026 World Cup with Algeria, Austria and Jordan.
The reigning World Cup champions are in Group J and will play their opening match on June 16 against Algeria. They will play Austria on June 22 and on June 27 against Jordan.

Best thing is we will not face Spain, France, England and Germany before the final. Any of these teams can beat Argentina..!
But I am confident against Portugal and Brazil…!
Another thing is..Eventhough it seems easy..Brazil path is trickier..right from the group..i really loved that..
If Colombia can top the group of Portugal..Argentina could get a Copa route to Final..!
If Colombia and Brazil top their groups and Bolivia makes it to the WC and finishes second, likewise Paraguay, Uruguay and Ecuador, then it could end up with all seven southamerican teams on the same bracket as Argentina in the round of 32.
A neither easy nor difficult group. Austria and Algeria are tricky opponents. We should win the group if we seriously want to go far in the tournament. There was a Jordanian friend here in Mundo whose user was Eboo. I haven’t seen his comments for a long time. I hope he is doing great and will enjoy watching his nation play against La Albiceleste.
Austria will be key whether it will be an easy path or tricky one. Lose, then we will face Spain in round of 32. Win, then it might be Uruguay, USA, Switzerland, England, and Spain in final.
I think Argentina has the easiest path to the Final..! Eventhough its not actually easy from QF..!
If we win our group, we’ll probably play Portugal in the quarters and Brazil or England in the semis.
