Alejandro Garnacho scored twice for Chelsea in their 3-1 win against Cardiff City.
Garnacho had two goals with Facundo Buonanotte assisting one in their EFL Cup win. Facundo Buonanotte started the match for Chelsea and he stole the ball, made a run into the penalty area and passed it to Garnacho who scored to give Chelsea the 1-0 lead.
Cardiff City would draw level and Chelsea would once more take the lead and with Chelsea leading 2-1 Joao Pedro would play a pass into Garnacho and the Argentine would score his second goal of the match.
Chelsea are qualified for the semi finals of the EFL Cup.
Garnacho MUST be on the WC2026 roster. The dividends he can provide running at a tired defense in extra time periods of the knock out stages could well be the difference in Argentina repeating as World Cup Champions.

Include Garnacho in the squad , even as a sub he can contribute with goals and assist from left side

Garnacho deserves consideration in Scaloni’s WC26 planning. His pace is well suited for open games, counterattacks, and late-game scenarios when Argentina needs to push forward. With Messi or Enzo capable of delivering defense splitting through balls, a wide setup featuring Garnacho on the left and Simeone or Soulé on the right could be highly effective.
