Agustín Giay has been called up to the Argentina national team.
Giay is part of the Argentina national team following the injury to Gonzalo Montiel. The 22 year old is a regular starter as right back for Palmeiras. Here is the updated list of players for Argentina’s matches against Mauritania and Zambia:

This site is hrash day by day but why????
Even though this call-up was forced by Montiel’s injury, this is still a welcome development. Giay has been playing well at Palmeriras, Brazilian league itself is much stronger than many believe and he also played in Copa Libertadores and Club World Cup.
Apart from Acuna call-up, this current list is the most balanced and progressive I have seen, we have Barco, Panichelli, Giay, Paz, Almada, Perrone, Prestianni, even Mastantuono who while does not deserve it per se, it still shows forward looking approach. Many of these players are pretty young which was needed to lower the average age, bring energy, dynamism, hunger and motivation that the older guard might be lacking. At the same time, many of our core players are still under 30, in their prime or approaching it.

This is world cup not copa or euro cup..In world cup taglafico will be 34 Years old ..this seasons his performance is over rated..he is not quick,not driballer or not strong, not good haeder or scorer a totally back passer..i am sure gonjalez and barco way better then taglafico..taglafico will cuses us..we need a soild defensive midrfilder..like,Verala ,,dominoguiz,,barrenchia or equi..at least two solid defensive Midfielders needed..
Finally my lad is called….hope montiel remains injured for the rest of the year
