Valentín Barco has spoke about Joaquín Panichelli’s injury.
Barco and Panichelli are team mates at Strasbourg and with the Argentina national team. The two were with the Argentina national team when Panichelli injured his ACL and he is out of the World Cup for Argentina.
Following Argentina’s 5-0 win against Zambia, Barco, who scored in the match, spoke about Panichelli’s injury. Here is what he had to say:
“The injury was difficult, it was a very, very, difficult moment for everyone. I was next to him and it was the most difficult moment I have lived. I am very sad for him because I know everything that he has worked for every day to be here. Now, I will be there for his recovery.”
very unfortunate. he was well poised to be our secret weapon in extra time. Wld have bought in a different dimension inside penalty box. Like Dutch Weghorst in WC22. Hope he recovers well & come back strong in the post WC26 period.
