Enzo Fernández has been sanctioned by Chelsea for two matches following the comments he made about wanting to live in Madrid.
Fernández will miss Chelsea’s two matches against Port Vale and against Manchester City. The Argentine was recently asked about which city he would like to live in, with his response of Madrid fueling transfer talks.
This has made Chelsea coach Liam Rosenior unhappy and the coach confirmed that Enzo has been sanctioned for his comments. Speaking at a press conference, here is what Rosenior had to say:
“I spoke with Enzo an hour ago. As a football club, and with me as part of that process, we’ve made a decision: he won’t be available for tomorrow’s game and he won’t be available for Manchester City next Sunday.
“I think a line was crossed in terms of our culture and what we want to build. So we had to make a sanction and that was a decision we’ve made.”

Atleast he will get a two match rest keeping him fit. He has been overplayed this season, featuring in all 30 league matches.
Actually Enzo is just frustrated with the Chelsea team. I mean both their attitude and the results of the team. There were news like his chelsea team mates are angry about him for shouting at them and too much control in them as he is the captain of the team. But he is always like that. Yeah he is little inexperienced with that captain badge. That’s it. But he felt for the badge. But he shown his frustrations clearly with this team. He knows this team won’t win UCL or Premier league. The defense is shambolic and error prone. He just commented about his wish to live in madrid by giving a signal that he wishes to play for Madrid. But yeah a warning is enough for it. Two match ban is just non sense.
Agreed two match ban doesn’t make sense
Enzo just can’t keep his mouth shut, he can’t help himself time and time again!
What did he say actually?
