Argentina will play Honduras and Iceland in June before the World Cup.
The Argentina national team will play against Honduras and Iceland in June. Lionel Scaloni’s team is going to play against Honduras on June 6 at Kyle Field College Station in Texas.
On June 9, Argentina will play against Iceland at Jordan-Hare stadium in Auburn, Alabama.

F. Iborra From Rosario Central Doing consistently Better in Local League. I Think he is the best Midfielder in Local League after Paredes.
The WC is just 9 weeks away. I assume Scaloni already has the squad in mind. Two players for every position and 3 goalkeepers.
GK – Dibu / Musso / Rulli
RB – Molina / Montiel
CB – Licha / Balerdi
CB – Romero / Otamendi
LB – Tagliafico / Barco
RB – De Paul / Simeone
DM – MacAllister / Paredes
AM – Enzo / Palacios
LM – Gonzalez / Almada
AT – Messi / Paz
AT – Alvarez / Lautaro
That is 23 players if everybody stays fit and healthy.
3 spots left.
I guess Scaloni will pick an extra defender and attacker, Senesi or Medina and Lopez.
That leaves one spot open. Probably someone for midfield. Could be Perrone, Barrenechea, Varela or maybe a creative surprise, a wild card. Maybe Boca’s revelation, Tomas Aranda.
With Panichelli and Foyth out due to injury and Soulé and Garnacho out of contention I hope they do not pick Real flop Mastantuono. Aranda is already miles ahead in ball control and vision. But I wonder if they would choose a young talent, they probably go for safety and add Prestianni.
Hey guys, it’s been a hot minute… if anyone remembers me haha. Hope you’re all safe and sound!
Anyway, these are the friendlies Tapia got for us since winning the World Cup in 2022
Iceland
Honduras
Zambia
Mauritania
Angola (note: 1 opponent instead of 2 this window, Tapia)
Puerto Rico
Venezuela
Guatemala
Ecuador
Costa Rica
El Salvador
Indonesia
Australia
Curacao
Panama
Good thing Tapia is in trouble 🙂 let’s hope the replacement is much better.
Anyway I’m glad the Finalissima got cancelled. Better that we got the wake-up call that some things need to change from Mauritania instead of Spain. Just like we needed a wake-up call from Saudi Arabia. We have the right players to integrate in Nico Paz, Barco, Perrone… The last 2 didn’t have much time with the first team, but neither did Enzo and Mac Allister. A real pity about Panichelli though… he could have offered something different. But my gut feeling is good about Lautaro off the bench this time around….
As for the negative nancies and doomers I assume are barking loud in the forum – keep barking! 🙂
Thanks for reminding us about Lautaro coming off the bench. He was injured and not playing well last World Cup. Just imagine he or Alvarez always being on the field. Every defender would have to be frightened.
Great that we still have forwards that scare defenders. But other countries have great attacking lines too. On paper France looks dangerous with Dembele – Mbappe – Olise (and Doue and Barcola as back ups).
