Lionel Messi was substituted for Inter Miami with a possible injury, holding the back of his leg.

Messi started Inter Miami’s match against Philadelphia and had two assists before being substituted out. The 38 year old was substituted out for Inter Miami holding the back of his leg and went to the locker room.

The Argentina national team play their first match of the World Cup on June 16 against Algeria.

  1. Looks like discomfort he was walking very fast which is good sign prolly 2 weeks off and would be ready for first game on-June 17

  2. It seemed more like a muscle discomfort than an actual injury so I am hopeful that it is not as serious to keep him out of the 1st match against Algeria
