Franco Mastantuono spoke about the Argentina national team and the World Cup.
Mastantuono has arrived in Argentina to being training with the national team. The 18 year old commented on the Argentina national team and possibly being called up. Speaking with DSports Radio, here is what he had to say:
“I was looking forward to being back in the country. About the call up? I am a little nervous but it’s always nice when these things happen.
“It was a difficult season ar Real in which I learned a lot and surely the next will be better.”
A generational fraud….should not be near the WC squad
It is not fair to call Mastantuono a fraud. The Argentine media and fans have overhyped him. Scaloni should aslo take the blame for giving Mastantuono the No. 10 jersey. Even Marcelo Gallardo said Mastantuono’s move to Real Madrid was premature.
Both Echeverri and Mastantuono have been average at club level. Unfortunately, Echeverri’s strong form with Argentina’s U17 team did not carry over to Bayer Leverkusen and Girona.
Dont think so he will get called up
