Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni speaks on Paulo Dybala’s absence

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has spoken about Paulo Dybala’s absence from the team.

Lionel Scaloni has not selected Paulo Dybala to be part of the World Cup or the two friendly matches for the World Cup. Dybala’s last match for the Argentina national team was in September 2024 against Colombia. Speaking in an interview with DSports Argentina, here is what Scaloni had to say:

“It goes without saying that Paulo is a great player, he came back in a great way for his club. But there are guys that have established themselves in that position.

“His quality is undeniable, we love him, he’s a spectacular kid. But we look at the present and what they can give us in the future and today, there are other guys who can contribute to us.”
