“Unexplainable”? The final was a disaster waiting to happen. Messi had to carry Argentina through several difficult moments just to get them to the final, while the midfield pairing of Mac Allister and Enzo Fernández failed to impose itself during the entire tournament.
Players like Lo Celso, Barco, Nico Paz, Otamendi, and Senesi were underutilized. With better squad rotation throughout the tournament, perhaps the team could have managed the physical demands better and reduced the workload on key players and prevented injuries to Romero and Lisandro Martínez.

Enzo Fernández: The social media controversy surrounding the Argentina team’s celebrations after winning the World Cup created unnecessary controversy.
The Malvinas poster after beating England: Bringing a political issue into a sporting celebration was unnecessary. Politics should be kept separate from football.
There have been other incidents as well, including Acuña’s controversial behavior during the Club World Cup. Whether people like Argentina or not, the players should understand that their actions have consequences. When you repeatedly give people ammunition, you can’t be surprised when they use it against you.

he was quite underwhelming in the U20 World cup & also ended up getting injured. He was challenged physically in that tournament & wasnt ready. Hopefully has progressed on levels since then.
That’s true. But is consistent long time in Brazilian league. Rather physically demanding. Like to see him with call up for upcoming friendlies. Same as Aranda, Simon Escobar, Prestianni, Maher Carrizo and others.
