Leandro Paredes has commented on his future with the Argentina national team.
Paredes spoke about if he will keep playing with the Argentina national team or if he will not be continuing. The 32 year old is suspended for 10 matches following the World Cup final and with Lionel Messi announcing his retirement from the Argentina national team, Paredes spoke about himself. Speaking to ESPN Argentina, here is what he had to say:
“For me, it will be difficult to continue, for what I said, for the suspension, for Leo’s decision, if he’s not there, it’s difficult for everything to continue working as it is. Surely, it will be a very difficult decision, it’s difficult to continue. I will surely speak with the coach but we will see what decision I will take.
“It’s a bit of everything, we set the bar very high and continuing to achieve important things is going to be difficult. We have managed to form an incredible group and in that group we had our leader, Leo, who won’t be there anymore. I’ll talk with the coach but it’s going to be difficult.”
