Gianluca Prestianni scored for Benfica in their 3-0 win against Maritimo.
Prestianni made it three goals and one assist in four league matches for Benfica, scoring in their win. With Benfica leading 2-0, the 20 year old received the ball on the half way line, dribbled towards the Maritimo back line, cut inside and scored Benfica’s third goal of the match.
Enzo Barrenechea did not start the match but was substituted into the game.
Lucas Boye from Alaves has scored 6 goals in last 4 games. Yesterday with hat trick (2 beatiful shoots). He is definitely late bloomer. Being 30, just like in Lo Celso case, it’s not a big impediment today. Boye is most versatile striker we have. eye-catching on dribling, physically strong. Goals off the box, inside, headers, freekicks and penalties. He got some minutes under Scaloni in 2022. We have not as much competence on striker position as it was in the past – Boye just like Lo Celso still might be material for 2028-2030 campaign. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_BY-7moTbE
Soule got a goal and an assist for match-winning and MoM performance yesterday, but gets no mention here.
It is very disappointing to see such bias.
Deserves call up as well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30TQBIi5rMg
Would like to see on the other Benfica’s wing Claudio Echeverri as well. Dybala might be RW best option just now but serious doubts of this in 2030, at the age of 37. Maybe Copa 2028. Echeverri or Leonel Flores are to watch here on RW. The long term project starts just now and without games after points within 2 years we need to experiment with no limits. To me Lo Celso is potentially realistic option being 32-34 during next cups, excluding injury issues ofc.
