Agustín Giay scored for Palmeiras in their 1-0 win against LDUI Quito in the Copa Libertadores.
Giay had the only goal of the match for Palmeiras in their win. In the first leg of the quarter finals in the Copa Libertadores, an effort on goal by Vitor Roque was saved by the goalkeeper but it was the Argentine who scored the rebound to give Palmeiras the 1-0 lead.
José Manuel López also started the match for Palmeiras.

Looking forward to watching Dybala play today, it’s been a really long time since I did.
Was watching Inter Miami play last night and wasn’t too impressed seeing DePaul getting into it with Lew because of some nonsense with a teammate, drama and ARG players needs to stop.
Why Argentina dont have world class side backs? Just check Simon Escobar situation to answer it, the guy would be a real world class attacking left back but Velez dont let him to make mistakes so try to transform him into a (average) winger as usual, always the same story. Velez think he is too good for a side back…why? What a complete bullshit.
I just though the same. I hate they want to make winger of him. For some reason in Argentina they always think we does not deserve for crack fullback in old Brazilian style. Then who will be as winger? Prestianni’s sub? Makes no sense.
Prestianni raised his game to the next level finally with the great end product, now has to replicate it against big teams (Porto, Sporting, Braga) and in Europa League too. Prestianni and Paz are our only two attacking youngsters with serious end product+Soule and Simeone on their good days, but Mastantuono, Aranda, Montoro or Flores still lack G+A but talent is definitely there. I still believe in Valentin Carboni instead of 2 ACLs, his playing style and physicality was so close to Rivaldo.
the most obvious midfield as of now:
……………………… …Enzo……Barco
.Dybala/Soule/Flores*……….Paz………………Prestianni
*or Echeverri
but here I’d say we still might need one more closer to playmaker in old style, somewhere in the middle. Aranda was closest to the role before injury as I saw him every game having more and more key passes. Now I don’t see such one. Maybe Montoro, but he is enigma with his lean physicality. None of those above is extraordinary passer/playmaker. Also both Enzo and Barco at the same time seems too much defensive for most games. Best would be someone like Lo Celso in deep playmaking role. For this reason I’d still keep Lo Celso aside one of the two Barco/Enzo, as his is ‘just’ 30 and easily might be part of 2030 project.
These are just your wish, the reality after Messi will be: Emi Barco? (I hope so as an inverted full back) Romero Licha Giay/Molina Macca Perrone/Equi Enzo Paz Alvarez Lautaro. Subs Lopez/Panichelli, Dybala?, Simeone, Soule, Prestianni, Almada.
I believe Scaloni realized the end of the cycle very well. Just like when he took over 8 years ago. There’s nothing to lose now so bold moves expected. MacAllister is not going to be a starter, Prestianni is. The second has no cometition right now. I’ve said before WC Scaloni is making biggest mistake by leaving Prestianni out. Not convinced with Lautaro – in my eyes he is another successor Aguero/Higuain/Tevez tradition of superstar NT underperformers. The rest of the strikers are ok (plus maybe Lucas Boye if he will keep on the level with Alaves).
Dybala is not good enough. That’s why scaloni never ever bothered calling him. Echeverri not even close. They too weak physically. Among those you mentioned only Enzo, Barco ,Paz and Prestianni are guaranteed based on the levels of performance
Our next Zanetti !!!
