Equi Fernández, Santiago Simón and Valentín Gómez called up to Argentina national team

1. It will be such a great experience for them to sit on the bench and watch Otamendi and Almada play.

2. Cant Barco play as a LB for us? If he can put on a good show for us he can own that spot for years isnt it? Or is there anyone who can play better for us at LB?

3. In line with current situations of world of football , Argentina need to have take strategic decision to promote first, Strong, tall, in form players for the team. My observations of team selection:
   1) Argentina should promote Tomas Palacios as national team players as soon as possible. He is physically strong, very first, 6.4 inch tall defender playing superbly. Recently have an excellent match in copa libeterious.

   2) Juan Foyth. His time with national team is over. Very injury prone player. Have no future with Argentina team. I am very disappointed with his selection.

   3) Santiago Beltran should be our second goalkeeper after Emiliano Martinez. Walter Benitez and Rulli time is over. If Santiago Beltran is an Brazilian or Colombian player, he would have sold to Europe.

   4) Roman Vega in left back is an excellent choice. In addition I prefer Oso should be selected asap .

   5) In right back Augustin giay got deserved call up.In addition I liked Capaldo should selected as back up ( Yesterday he was MOTM)

   6) Not selected Maxim Parrone is a disappointing decision.

   7) Happy for selection of Equi Fernandez, Matias Soule, Gianluca Prestianni. Gianluca Prestianni is our no 1 left winger.

   8) Excellent to see Flores of Boca Juniors selected. He is our future. Bad luck for Tomas Aranda, miss out due to injury.

   9) Hope this is the last match of Rodrigo de Paul & lo celso.

   Lastly I believe if scaloni has the courage to select players on the basis of performance and he is 100% committed , then only he can stay as Argentina Manager.

   • Same thoughts on Tomas Palacios. I wonder how many minutes will Flores, Mastantuono or Soule get.

     • It’s time to give new players deserve chance. Hope scaloni don’t keep them in bench.

       • Yeah, we have plenty of talent to exploit. Especially in the midfield. We have Prestianni, Almada and Garnacho on LW. We have Paz, Soule, Montoro, Buonanotte (Aranda I hope soon) in the middle. We have Flores, Mastantuono, Soule on RW. Echeverri on all of the positions. We have Barco, Enzo, Equi, Perrone, Palacios (possibly Paz) deeper back.

   • It will most likely be the last match for De Paul and Lo Celso, and those who were very close to Messi will retire from the national team, including Paredes, Lo Celso, and De Paul.

     • Let’s hope so. New beginning is needed.

4. We are in dire need to players who can strech the field, Prestianni, Soule, Giay kind of players would exactly do this. As for midfield Macca, Enzo, Paz combo doesnt look bad isnt it? Attack we may have to finally unleash the Alvarez- Lautaro combo.

   On paper we have a large pool of players who could be carry on for us for years.

   • Barco deserves to start…

5. I wish Scaloni continues and also rediscovers his motivation. I am not sure if both these can happen together. We still have a midfield that can conquer and a solid central defence in Cuti, Balerdi and Lisandro. We are weak on the full backs, wings and forward. With Messi gone the attack looks pretty ordinary but still cannot be ignored. My hopes are resting on Agustín Giay, Prestianni, Balerdi, Barco. Nico Paz hasn’t been sensational for the national team. But if someone makes him realize that he would be wearing the number 10 which had once been donned by Kempes, Maradona and Messi, things might change. He is doing things for Como. Can he for his country?

   If the financial irregularities are settled by AFA and Scaloni stays, I am sure in 3.5 years he would be able to build another brotherhood. I am not sure about any other coach. Whoever takes charge after December, even if it be Scaloni himself, the success would be predominantly shaped by how Enzo, MacAllister and other seniors feel the hunger to repeat Qatar and lead the new ones.

6. I like these new additions especially Equi, V. Gomez, Beltran and some promising youth like Andrada, T. Palacios, Flores.
   Santi Simon is a surprise, he plays in Mexico for Toluca, in his early River days he looked like a quasi De Paul type of player, later starting playing mostly wide right and lately RB.

7. It would have been preferable for Equi Fernandez and V. Gomez to be included from the start; the presence of Otamendi, Lo Celso, and De Paul appears to be primarily for Messi’s farewell, which implies that De Paul and Lo Celso may not remain with the team following that match.

8. Call ups for Flores and Tomas Martinez rather expected (the more the later one represents Estudiantes as the only Argentina Copa Libertadores semifinalist. Good to see Equi Fernandez on the list. Andrada not my favourite. Gomez grabbed for Argentina.
