  1. For Argentina to be competent, Claudio Tapia should stop being greedy, charging countries to play friendlies. Messi won’t be around to shield him this time. Argentina should start facing big teams(Probably Top 20 in Fifa ranking) in friendlies. Facing likes of Benin, Curacao, Bolivia is quite uninspiring.

  2. It’s just Bolivia but it looks good. To be honest that’s something new to watch as you couldn’t see within last 20 years or so players who didn’t feel more or less pressured to pass (the responisbility burden) to our No.10. Actually joy to watch and not looking for leader as of now is good. You may have your favourites (Paz, Prestianni, Mastantuono…. but to be honest as of now it’s just bunch of high quality more or less equal players. No Messi, no Maradona. Not even Batistuta or Riquelme.

  3. Mastsantuono is frustrating to watch.always in the first few minutes he is impressive after that he gets into people’s way loses the ball and you can see he is not a winger should play in the number 10 position.argentina have really good Young players I hope they all reach their potential they are really exciting to watch Prestianni,Paz, Aranda, Flores, Delgado, Soule, Barco they are all really good

  4. Already NT level attacking players rotation in next 1-2 years: Prestianni, Almada, Flores, Soule, Mastantuono, Paz, Simeone, Nico Gonzalez, Aranda, Julian, Lautaro, Lopez, Panichelli +need to improve but talent is there: Garnacho, Montoro, Buonanotte, Valentin Carboni, Freitas, Zeballos, Thiago Fernandez, Benjamin Dominguez, Castro, David Romero. Period.

    • NT cannot accommodate every player for the sake if it. Nico Gonzalez is a liability and will be 30+ in next 2 or 3 years, Almada gas began to downgrade. Scaloni can’t afford repeating Sampaoli mistake of testing to many players for the sake of it. It’s either you have it or you don’t. Lijes Garnacho, Bounanotte, Valentin carboni as for now forget about them unless there’s a massive and consistent career turn around for the next 3 seasons.

      • Almada, Carboni, Buonanotte, Garnacho and especially Echeverri should be in long list as well. Almada is too young still to throw him out definitevely. Just 25 and few big tournaments experience already including 2 World CUps.

    • He is great anyway. One lackluster game after long string of briliance means nothing.
Our fullbacks were eye-catching. Especially Vega. Paz was best.

    • Mentioned few times here recently. Along with injured Aranda best young player of Boca during few past months.

  5. Leonel flores what a revelation. Played for only 5 minutes but proved to be such a gem. So long as he remains consistent and injury free( like what happened to exequiel zeballos) he will be a shinning star for this team.

  6. I have some questions:
1)Why Scaloni is keep trying this 2 striker formation and forcing Paz to play wide?
2)Why Nico gonzalez is still in the squad and Buendia is not?
3)Who is replacement of Paredes? Cant we try players like Barrenechea or any proper cdm?

    • Soule is a right winger not midfielder. I don’t think Soule can start over Simeone. Personally he is better than manstatuono. His only limitation is predictability in his style of play and lack of creativity.
