Lionel Messi scored once and assisted twice for Argentina in his 3-0 farewell win vs. Benin.

Messi played for the Argentina national team for the last time and reached 126 goals, scoring in the 3-0 win. With music and festivities before the match, the goals were in the second half.

With Argentina leading 1-0 lead, Messi passed the ball to Nico Paz who scored from outside of the penalty area and Messi would get his second assist. At 2-0, Agustín Giay was fouled inside the penalty area and Argentina were awarded a penalty kick.

For the final time, it was Lionel Messi who would take it. Messi would place the ball into the top corner and score his final ever goal with the Argentina national team.

The players would all celebrate and Argentina would win 3-0 in Lionel Messi’s final match.
