Gianluca Prestianni assisted twice for Benfica in their 4-1 win against Celtic.
Prestianni had two assists for Benfica in their Europa League win. With Benfica leading 1-0, Prestianni played a cross into the penalty area which found Bah and he scored to give Benfica the 2-0 lead.
At 2-0, the 20 year old played a through ball to Dúran and he did well to score Benfica’s third goal of the game.
The Argentine has eight goals and five assists in 14 matches with Benfica.

Good that we scheduled a match against a tougher opponent (Uruguay). We definitely need to play stronger sides to test the new generation.
Prestianni is doing well at Benfica and deserves a few chances to prove himself in the NT. Hopefully his performances make everyone forget the racist label he got some time ago.
As several members already said Mastantuono does not belong in the NT. We have no hate for him, he simply lacks quality. He lost the ball 18 times this week. Not against Barcelona or PSG but against a minor side in Italy. His ball possession and dribbling skills are weak. We have much better options. I don’t get why people call him a talent. Yes, he scored a great free kick for River. However, he is miles and miles away from real talents like Doue or Yamal.
Aranda is still injured so hopefully he will get his chance in March.
Panichelli is expected back in December. Hopefully he will stay fit so we can see him back in action in March.
There is plenty of youngsters aiming for a chance like Delgado, Anselmino, Herrera, Montoro and even mature players like Boca left back Blanco are knocking on the door.
Scaloni (if he stays) and staff have until June 2028 to create a strong new team. With Lisandro, Romero, Enzo, Alvarez, Lautaro and Dibu the backbone is there. Now let’s get some fresh new talent in and rebuild. It will be necessary because my hopes were on Paz as our new 10. Against Feyenoord he was -much to my surprise- outclassed by 2 young unknown players from the Dutch side. Paz is still a top player, but wearing number 10 will be a burden. Just like it was for someone like Ortega back in the day.
I agree on both Mastantuono and Paz here. I hope it is just one-off bland Paz performance. He was somewhat high positioned this time. Still possibly best option in the middle of our midfield. Yet even in case of Paz underperformance we have plenty of options and blessed competition. For example you may go with Soule in the middle, instead of Paz, give the right side to Flores switching wings with Prestianni and other options. Aranda, Montoro and Lescano should be on radar. For me, before injury Aranda was No.1 candidate for our new No.10 (within 3 months he should be back). There’s also Echeverri – now consistent in Benfica. I wonder of Paz being used deeper, as box to box, along Enzo/Barco/Palacios. Paz is really sturdy physically…
