Cristian Romero has stated that he thinks Julián Álvarez should get the number 10 shirt for Argentina.
Romero spoke about the Argentina national team and their World Cup final match. In the same interview with Gastón Edul and Esteban Edul, Romero commented on who he thinks should get the number 10 shirt for the Argentina national team after Lionel Messi. Here is what he had to say:
“I would honestly put it aside, put up a mural at the AFA and that’s it, so no one has that responsibility. But that can’t be done, so I don’t know…
“I would give it to Juli. Then everyone has their own. I see him as having that profile of humility, of being a family man, a good guy.
“He has the qualities, he has all the important things to wear the number 10 shirt. I think he’d like to. I’ve told him that many times but he wants to continue with his own style.”
