Dibu had an incredible double save for Aston Villa at 0-0 near the end of the first half. First, a save with his right leg when Everton’s attacker was one on one with him. Just a couple of seconds later, in that same play, Martínez had to go down to his left to do another massive save and deflect it for a corner kick.
Per the statistics by Argentina journalist Gastón Trucco, after this match, Martínez became the second goalkeeper with the most clean sheets this season. Only Yan Sommer from Inter, with 15, surpasses him.
