Lionel Messi confirmed to start for Argentina vs. Colombia in World Cup qualifier

Lionel Messi will start for Argentina against Colombia on Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has confirmed that Messi will start the match on Tuesday. Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Scaloni said the following:

“Messi will start, we have no doubt. Hopefully the people can enjoy him and the team.”

He started Argentina’s 1-0 win against Chile on Thursday on the bench but was substituted into the match.
