Facundo Medina, Juan Foyth and Exequiel Palacios injured, not included for Argentina

Facundo Medina, Juan Foyth and Exequiel Palacios are all injured and did not make the Argentina national team.

The three players have recently been called-up to the national team but did not make the team due to injury for the friendly matches against Venezuela and Puerto Rico. In their places are Facundo Cambeses, Lautaro Rivero, Aníbal Moreno and Marcos Senesi.

Medina suffered a right ankle sprain for Olympique Marseille and will be out for two months. The 26 year old played for Argentina earlier in June in a 1-1 draw against Colombia in the World Cup qualifiers.

Juan Foyth has muscle discomfort and will be out for a few weeks. He has missed Villarreal’s last two league matches.

Exequiel Palacios will be out until the start of the new year with a muscle tendon injury in his right adductor. The 26 year old was part of the team in September and played against Colombia in a World Cup qualifying match.

Lisandro Martínez remains out due to an ACL injury while Paulo Dybala is also not fit.
