Lautaro Martínez joins top three Argentine goal scorers in Champions League history

Lautaro Martínez is in the top three Argentine players with the most goals in Champions League history.

Martínez scored for Inter in their 2-1 win against Kairat in the Champions League and he reached 25 goals with Inter. Lautaro is now tied with Hernán Crespo in third place all time for goals scored in the Champions League by an Argentine players.

He now has 25 goals in 61 matches while Crespo scored 25 goals in 65 matches. In the all time rankings, he is ranked 45 in between all the players.

Sergio Agüero has 41 goals in 79 matches, scoring five with Atletico Madrid and 36 goals with Manchester City. He is ranked 22 all time.

Lionel Messi is the Argentine player with the most goals, scoring 129 goals in 163 matches. He scored 120 goals with FC Barcelona and nine goals with Paris Saint-Germain.

Alfredo Di Stéfano had 49 goals in 58 matches with his goals coming in the European Cup.
