Bologna picked up a 3–2 away win against Hellas Verona in a rescheduled Serie A match played at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi. The game stood out for the impact of two young Argentines, with Santiago Castro scoring the winning goal and Benjamín Domínguez providing an assist.
Hellas Verona started the match with Nicolás Valentini in the starting lineup, but Bologna showed character after going behind and managed to turn the score around during a strong spell in the first half.
Domínguez played a key role in the comeback, setting up one of Bologna’s goals with a clean assist and showing confidence on the wing. The decisive moment came shortly before halftime, when Castro made the difference.
In the 43rd minute, the ball dropped for the former Vélez striker just outside the box. Castro hit a powerful right-footed volley that smashed off the crossbar, bounced on the line, and went into the net. It was a spectacular finish and the goal that ultimately decided the match.
With this goal, Castro now has six goals in 18 Serie A appearances for Bologna this season, along with two assists.
