Nicolás Tagliafico has made Argentina national team history.

Tagliafico started for Argentina in the 2-0 win against Honduras, reaching 76 matches with Argentina. At 76 matches, he has overtaken Juan Pablo Sorín as the left back with the most matches with the Argentina national team.

The 33 year old has played 24 South American World Cup qualifying matches, 24 friendly matches, 17 Copa America matches, 10 World Cup matches and one Finalissima.

With the Argentina national team, Tagliafico has won one World Cup, two Copa America’s and one Finalissima trophy.

    I’m happy that Medina looked great as an option for LB. Still many concerns for the opposite side of the pitch but it seems that’s Sorin’s legacy has been left in the good hands of “cleancut” Taglia.
