Ángel Di María has commented on Cristian Romero becomimg the new captain of the Argentina national team.
Lionel Messi will play his final match with the Argentina national team on October 6 against Benin and Cristian Romero has been named as the new captain. Speaking in an interview with SportsCenter, here is what Ángel Di María had to say:
“He deserves it. I think it’s a great choice by Scaloni and the coaching staff.
“He deserves it because he’s a great guy. He has a great temperament to carry the armband and I’m sure he’ll do a great job.
“I’m happy that people continue to support the national team because they will surely continue to bring us joy”.
