Worn during Argentina’s historic 1978 FIFA World Cup triumph on home soil, this jersey represents one of the most memorable moments in the country’s football history.
Led by coach César Luis Menotti and inspired by the brilliance of Mario Kempes, La Albiceleste captured its first-ever World Cup title after defeating the Netherlands 3-1 in the final at Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires. Kempes scored twice in the final and finished as the tournament’s top scorer with six goals.
The legendary sky-blue-and-white striped shirt was worn by Argentine football icons such as Mario Kempes, Daniel Passarella, Ubaldo Fillol, Osvaldo Ardiles, Leopoldo Luque, Alberto Tarantini, Jorge Olguín, and Ricardo Villa.
